EASTER AT COLLECTIVE
This Easter, we are focusing on remembering the life and works of our Lord Jesus Christ. To remember what He has done for us is a devotion and discipline that can lead us to a life filled with gratitude.
In Remembrance of Me takes us into a journey of discovering and rediscovering the goodness of Christ, the effects of His sacrifice, and His resurrection power over our lives.
May this year’s reflective approach to Easter invite and reinvigorate you into a renewed relationship with Jesus!
What is Lent?
Lent is the 40-day period commemorating Jesus’ 40 days of prayer and fasting in the desert culminating to His victory over all the temptations thrown at him by the devil!
It begins on Ash Wednesday (February 22) and ends on the Sunday before Easter.
Lent calls for a focus on the life of Christ, His ministries, sacrifices and resurrection.
Jesus lived a life of prayer, a life close to God, always carrying a heart of compassion, healing the sick and caring for the poor.
Lent is a season of reflection. As we focus on the life and works of Christ, we ought to take this time to reflect upon ours.
What is Easter?
Easter marks the resurrection of Jesus Christ after being crucified. According to the Bible, Jesus was sentenced to death by crucifixion, for claiming to be the ‘Son of God.’
His body was brought down from the Cross, wrapped in linen and placed in a tomb, owned by Joseph of Arimathea. It was then sealed by a massive stone. This day is marked as Good Friday.
After three days, Jesus resurrected from the grave and visited his disciples. This day is celebrated annually as Easter Sunday. Since Christ rose from the grave, it is also known as Resurrection Sunday.
The significance of Easter is Jesus' triumph over death. To remember what He has done for us is a devotion and discipline that can lead us to a life filled with gratitude.
Fasting
What is fasting?
Why do we fast?
How do you fast?
Ask yourself...
Have I become dependent on something other than God?
What do I find pleasure or comfort in?
What conveniences am I used to? e.g. elevators or escalators instead of stairs, music/podcasts in the background, etc.
What could I abstain from that might help draw my attention to a deeper need for Jesus?
The Gallery @ Collective Lobby

To remember is to create space in our minds for the person or experience we are remembering.
The Gallery is the physical space created to remember Jesus and His finished work on the cross.
The visitation of The Gallery is the space carved out of time in our busy schedules to pray, meditate and contemplate.
This is a space of beauty where people can come to be present in remembrance of Jesus’ life, death and resurrection.
Paintings and other art pieces from The Gallery will be up for sale on Easter Sunday (April 9). Proceeds from the sale will go towards the vaccination efforts of Autrui Global.
The Gallery will be open as a space for personal prayer and contemplation from April 2–7. We will have gatherings for an hour of corporate morning prayer each day as well.
